I am a bird photography enthusiast based in the Åland Islands, Finland. At 46 years old, I reside in Mariehamn with my wife, our 2-year-old daughter, and a cat. In 2016, I had to leave the workforce due to illness. While I've always had a lifelong interest in birds, it's only in recent years that bird photography has become accessible to ordinary individuals.

Photography has become a therapeutic outlet for me, a means of combating depression. Walking through the forest and immersing myself in nature not only brightens my mood but also fills the void created by my absence from the workforce.

My journey into bird photography began eight years ago with a Nikon P900. It has been a delightful experience, getting close to birds and learning about their behavior. I am continually striving to elevate my photography skills to the next level.
